An oven is a device that uses an electric heating wire to heat and dry objects. It is suitable for baking, drying, heat treatment, etc., which is 5~300 ℃ higher than the room temperature (some 200 ℃ higher), and the sensitivity is usually ± 1 ℃. There are many types of ovens, but their basic structures are similar, and they are generally composed of three parts: the box, the electric heating system and the automatic temperature control system. Its use and precautions are summarized as follows:
1. The oven shall be placed indoors in a dry and horizontal place to prevent vibration and corrosion.
2. Pay attention to the safe use of electricity, and install a power knife with sufficient capacity according to the power consumption of the oven. Sufficient power conductors and good grounding wires shall be selected.
3. For the oven with electric contact mercury thermometer type temperature controller, two wires of the electric contact thermometer shall be connected to two terminals on the top of the oven. Another ordinary mercury thermometer is inserted into the exhaust valve, (the thermometer in the exhaust valve is used to check the mercury thermometer at the electric contact and observe the actual temperature in the box) and open the hole of the exhaust valve. Adjust the electric contact mercury thermometer to the required temperature, and then tighten the screws on the steel cap to achieve constant temperature. However, attention must be paid not to rotate the indicating iron out of the scale during adjustment.
4. When all preparations are ready, put the test object into the oven, then connect and turn on the power. The red indicator light indicates that the oven has been heated. When the temperature reaches the controlled temperature, the red light turns off and the green light turns on to start constant temperature. In order to prevent temperature control failure, it is also necessary to take care of it.
5. When placing the test object, the arrangement shall not be too close. The test object shall not be placed on the radiator to avoid affecting the upward flow of hot gas. It is forbidden to bake inflammable, explosive, volatile and corrosive articles.
6. When it is necessary to observe the sample condition in the studio, open the outer trunk door and observe through the glass door. However, it is better to open the door as few as possible to avoid affecting the constant temperature. Especially when working above 200 ℃, opening the box door may cause the glass door to burst due to sudden cooling.
7. For the oven with air blast, the blower must be turned on during the heating and constant temperature process, otherwise the uniformity of the working chamber temperature will be affected and the heating elements will be damaged.
8. After the work is completed, the power supply shall be cut off in time to ensure safety.
9. Keep the inside and outside of the oven clean.
10. When using, the temperature should not exceed the higher operating temperature of the oven.
11. In order to prevent scalding, special tools should be used when taking and placing the test sample.
Operating Procedures
1、 The oven shall be used according to the temperature range specified on the nameplate, and the oven must be well grounded.
2、 Combustibles such as oil basins, oil drums, cotton yarn and cloth scraps shall not be stacked near the oven, and washing, painting and spraying shall not be carried out near the oven.
3、 Prevent other objects from falling into the bottom of the oven and contacting the resistance wire to cause a short circuit.
4、 Power off the oven before opening it. The operator shall not leave during heating.
5、 Do not put objects such as tools, equipment parts and volatile oil in the oven.
6、 Parts washed with gasoline, kerosene, alcohol, banana water flammable liquid and painted articles should be placed at room temperature for 15~30 minutes. After most of the flammable liquid volatilizes, they can be put into an oven for baking. Ventilation should be paid attention to indoors.
7、 The oven shall not be cleaned or wiped with gasoline during operation.
8、 The non-metallic articles shall be heated in the oven according to the process procedures.
9、 Before the oven works, the ventilation gate must be opened to prevent explosion.
