The geotextile has the functions of filtering, drainage, isolation, reinforcement and protection, and has the characteristics of light weight, high tensile strength, good permeability, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance and corrosion resistance. The application of geosynthetics originated in the 1950s. The geotextile in China is one of the Eighth Five Year Plan. In 1998, China issued the standard Geosynthetics Short Fiber Needle punched Nonwoven Geotextiles (GB/T17638-1998). At present, geotextiles have been widely used in many fields.
Geotextiles mainly include the following three series:
1、 Needle punched non-woven geotextile, with the specification of 100g/m2 to 600g/m2, is made of polyester staple fiber or polypropylene staple fiber by needle punching. It is mainly used for slope protection of river, sea and lake embankments, reclamation of land from the sea, wharf, ship lock flood prevention and rescue works, and is an effective way to achieve water and soil conservation and prevent piping through back filtration.
2、 Needle punched non-woven fabric and PE film composite geotextile have specifications of one cloth, one film, two cloth and one film. The main raw material is polyester staple fiber needle punched non-woven fabric with a wide width of 4.2 meters. PE film is compounded and mainly used for seepage prevention. It is applicable to * *, expressway, tunnel, subway, airport and other projects.
3、 Non woven and woven composite geotextiles, with varieties of nonwoven and polypropylene filament woven composite, nonwoven and plastic woven composite, are suitable for foundation reinforcement and infrastructure engineering facilities for adjusting permeability coefficient.
