Formulation study requirements
1. Development of tape wrapping
Generally, the cold wrapped epoxy coal tar pitch tape is hard and brittle after curing, and it is impossible to make plastic and tough strip coiled materials. Donghua Company, through high-tech means, mixes, calenders and vulcanizes epoxy coal tar pitch, rubber and plastic into strip coiled materials. The wrapping tape is soft, tough and convenient for construction. Since it has the same component (epoxy coal tar pitch) as the solvent-free primer, the two can be well bonded to form a solid and inseparable anti-corrosion coating.
2. Development of primer
The primer is solvent free epoxy coal tar pitch coating Solvent free coatings have the following advantages:
(1) Improve coating quality. There is no solvent volatilization during the construction process, and the coating is dense without pores, which improves the anti-corrosion performance.
(2) Simplify construction procedures. During the construction of solvent based coating, holes are generated due to solvent volatilization coating, which forms hidden dangers. In order to reduce holes, multi-layer coating must be used, and holes can be eliminated only after at least 3~4 times of coating.
(3) Improve work efficiency, speed up the construction period, reduce the number of construction workers, and save labor costs.

(4) In the production and use of solvent-free coatings, there are no volatile substances (such as toluene and xylene), which reduces the environmental problems in the production workshop and construction site and improves the working environment.
(5) It saves energy. Toluene, xylene and other substances in the solvent are energy products, and solvent-free products save a lot of energy.
1. Surface treatment. Oil stain shall be removed from the steel surface and rust shall be removed by sand blasting to meet the requirements of GB/T? 8923, better reaching Sa 2 1/2. After the steel surface treatment is qualified, anti-corrosion construction must be carried out as soon as possible before rust returning. The concrete shall be thoroughly dried, and loose materials on the surface shall be removed to present a flat and solid surface.
2. Prepare primer. Component A: Component B=1: 1, fully mixed and evenly used after 5~10min of standing. Quick drying curing agent shall be used for the primer, which shall be used up within 2h after preparation. It shall be prepared and used immediately during construction to avoid gel loss. Diluent shall not be added when preparing primer, so as to avoid being too thin, which will make the thickness of anticorrosive coating fail to meet the requirements.
3. Putty the welds. Both sides of the weld 1 mm higher than the steel pipe surface and the lap joint of two steel plates shall be puttied to form a smooth transition surface, and the pits on the concrete surface shall also be puttied and leveled. The putty is made of the prepared primer and talcum powder, which should be used up within 4h after adjustment.
4. Apply adhesive primer and wrap the baseband. Before applying the primer, the steel or concrete surface must be dry, and the primer must be evenly applied without omission. After the primer is applied, immediately wind (or paste) the baseband, overlap 20~25mm, and must be tensioned or flattened to make the surface flat, close contact and free of bubbles. Before winding, it is better to dip one end of the baseband into the adhesive primer for about 20mm, and then wind it after dipping the adhesive primer, or apply adhesive primer on the lap joint while winding, which can effectively increase the tightness of the lap joint. Wrap polyethylene adhesive tape on both ends of the wrapped good anti-corrosion coating for fixation.
5. Quality inspection. After the coating is wrapped, it is left to stand and dry. After the coating is dried, it is subject to appearance, thickness, spark test and adhesion inspection according to the conditions and methods specified in the GB 50268-97 standard (or other industry standards) of the Ministry of Construction.
6. In case of urgent need for trench laying and backfilling, transportation, trench laying and backfill construction can be carried out under the condition of paying attention to protection and avoiding collision after wrapping rubber and plastic tape, and the anti-corrosion coating can be completely solidified under the trench.
PRC cold wrapping tape is a new type of pipeline external anti-corrosion coating, which combines the advantages of various anti-corrosion coatings:
(1) It has the advantages of high mechanical strength, strong adhesion, water resistance, microorganism resistance and plant root resistance.
(2) As the PRC cold wrapping tape is mainly composed of synthetic rubber and synthetic plastic, it has the toughness and aging resistance of extruded polyethylene anti-corrosion coating.
(3) The tape wrapping construction process is simple and flexible. It has the advantages of polyethylene cold tape wrapping. It can not only process the anti-corrosion coating in the prefabrication plant, but also conduct on-site anti-corrosion construction. However, it is better than polyethylene tape wrapping. Because the primer is solvent-free epoxy coal tar pitch, with high viscosity and large thickness, it can be constructed in windy and sandy weather, and has no impact on the bonding force.
