Four application fields of rock wool board
Rock wool originated in Hawaii. After the previous volcanic eruption on the island of Hawaii, the residents on the island found wisps of melted soft rock on the ground, which is the rock wool fiber recognized by early humans. The production process of rock wool is actually a simulation of the natural process of volcanic eruption in Hawaii. The rock wool products are made of high-quality basalt dolomite As the main raw materials All advanced four axes are adopted after high temperature melting above 1450 ℃ Centrifuge High speed centrifugal fiber forming, at the same time, a certain amount of binder, dust-proof oil and hydrophobic agent are sprayed, collected by cotton collectors, solidified and cut after pendulum process and three-dimensional cotton paving, forming rock wool products of different specifications and uses.
In modern society, rock wool new materials have been widely used in construction, metallurgy, chemical industry, electricity, petroleum, agriculture, machinery, light industry, textile, * * *, transportation, storage and other industries. Various buildings and industries kiln Boiler, heat exchanger, distillation Pagoda , Storage pot , cold storage flue, pipes, valves, fans, air conditioners, vehicles and ships, as well as the development of modern national defense, aerospace, atomic energy technology, are inseparable from this new type of thermal insulation, sound absorption and silencing multi-functional materials.
1. Building energy conservation
since Since 2009, the application of rock wool in the construction field has developed rapidly, from the original annual production capacity of less than 200000 tons to the current annual production capacity of nearly 2 million tons. With the introduction of GB/T25975-2010 Rock Wool Products for External Thermal Insulation of Building Exterior Walls, the product quality has also been greatly improved, reaching or even surpassing the level of similar products in Europe.
Rock wool as ***Materials are widely used in external wall thermal insulation system. In foreign countries, mature product standards and system certification guidelines have been formed. In China, rock wool is used as building insulation materials, especially in public buildings, high-rise buildings and civil buildings with high requirements for fire prevention.
The application of rock wool in buildings mainly includes external wall thermal insulation, fire isolation belt, roof thermal insulation, etc 3 application forms. Including:
External wall insulation system. For building energy conservation 50% and 65% of the new, expanded and reconstructed residential buildings and public building exterior wall energy conservation and insulation projects, as well as industrial building insulation and existing building energy conservation and insulation projects, are particularly suitable for public building insulation projects with high fire protection requirements and energy conservation requirements.
Fire barrier. Bearing and separating molten insulation materials, and controlling the total amount of combustible materials in the separation area; Prevent flame spread inside the system; Improve or maintain the structural stability of the system protection surface. Under fire conditions, it can not only prevent or slow down the fire source's attack on the internal and external insulation system of the directly fired area, but also prevent the flame from spreading outward through the external insulation system. At the same time, it can maintain the stable existence of its own fire retardant structure, thus effectively preventing the spread of flame in the system.
Roof insulation system. The roof system, which is formed by using a high degree of fireproof rock wool board as the building roof insulation layer and bearing layer and combined with flexible waterproof coiled material, vapor barrier and system fasteners, is often used for steel structures or concrete flat roof roofs such as industrial plants, airports, shopping malls, stadiums and storage facilities. The system is suitable for various climatic conditions and is a new roof system with functions of safe fire prevention, energy conservation, sound absorption and sound insulation.
2. Industrial insulation
As a new type of thermal insulation material, rock wool is also widely used in the industrial thermal insulation field. As rock wool board is semi hard material, it can be used as Bending within 30 °. Rock wool insulation materials can be used for large equipment, whether square or round, and good insulation effect can be achieved. Rock wool material, a semi hard and soft material, can also be used as thermal insulation for small equipment or large-diameter pipelines. It can be bent and flat, and is very convenient for construction. Large pipes can be wrapped with rock wool for thermal insulation, while small pipes can use rock wool pipe shells. Pipe shell construction is more convenient in indoor or pipeline bent and other places where construction is inconvenient. Others, such as three-way pipes, valves and elbows, can also be made into prefabricated insulation blocks with rock wool.
Water wall tube and other temperature not exceeding The 500 ℃ furnace wall can be made of rock wool felt or rock wool board instead of insulating bricks to form a light furnace wall. This is very important to reduce the overall weight of large thermal power boilers or fast installed boilers.
3. Shipbuilding
With the development of shipbuilding industry, the marine cabin materials in our country have gone through the development process from simple to complex, from low level to high level, from non standardized to standardized. As a new type of non combustible cabin material, composite rockwool board cabin material has been widely used in domestic and foreign shipbuilding industry. At present, the quality of composite rock wool boards manufactured in China has gradually approached that of similar products abroad. As early as the last century At the end of 1990s, major domestic shipyards basically completed the process of replacing calcium silicate board with composite rock wool board and replacing imported composite rock wool board with domestic composite rock wool board.
4. Agricultural application
The application of rock wool in the agricultural field has been developed with the continuous maturity of soilless cultivation technology More than 100 years of history. In foreign countries, Denmark, France, the United States, Spain, Poland and the Netherlands all have manufacturers specialized in producing agricultural rock wool, of which Denmark's Grodon production accounts for more than 60% of the sales volume in most countries. The production plants are located in Denmark, the Netherlands and the United States, and the sales network is spread across most countries. With the continuous development of facility agriculture and the massive promotion of greenhouse facilities in China, China has also become one of the countries with the development speed of facility agriculture and the existing greenhouse area in the world.
Agricultural rock wool is composed of about 60% basalt, 20% coke, 20% limestone, and a small amount of iron smelting slag are fused and shaped at high temperature, then compressed and solidified to a specific density before cutting. In this process, a bonding agent with surface hydrophilicity is added, which has good hydrophilicity. The bulk density of agricultural rock wool is small, generally 60~80kg/m3, with 3% fiber and 97% pore volume, so it has good air permeability and water retention. After high temperature refining at 1600 ℃, it is sterile and pure, so it becomes the substrate material for soilless cultivation.
The application of rock wool in China has only a short history of 20 to 30 years, and its application in the construction field has been booming in recent years. There is still much room for growth in agricultural and other fields, but its outstanding thermal insulation, sound absorption and noise reduction, and fire safety performance has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life.
