1、 Historical evolution and basic information

Hainan Radio and Television Station was established in August 2001 by the merger of the former Hainan People's Broadcasting Station (founded in 1952) and the former Hainan Television Station (founded in 1979). In 2008, it was renamed as the main station. As a public institution directly under the provincial government, Hainan Radio and Television Station accepted the guidance of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee in terms of news and public opinion guidance, working guidelines, and policy directions.

In order to deepen the reform of the cultural system, promote the relative separation of publicity business and business operation, and integrate cultural resources, in accordance with the requirements of the provincial party committee and government, Hainan Radio, Film and Television Media Group Co., Ltd. was officially established in July 2016, and Hainan Radio, Film and Television Asset Management Co., Ltd., Hainan Film Company 3 subsidiaries including Provincial Culture Investment Management Co., Ltd. and 15 subordinate companies were integrated. The Group Company is a provincial wholly state-owned cultural enterprise, and the Provincial Office of Cultural Assets Supervision and Administration shall perform the responsibilities of investor as authorized by the provincial government. The Propaganda Department and the Head Office of the Provincial Party Committee are responsible for the political guidance of the related businesses of the Group Company.

The head office and the group implement the integrated operation mode of the integration of the party committee, the publicity business, and the business operation.

The main station has 15 media, including 2 satellite TV channels (Hainan Satellite TV, Sansha Satellite TV), 5 ground TV channels (economic channel, news channel, public channel, cultural tourism channel, children's channel), and 5 radio frequencies (news broadcasting, voice of international tourism island, communication broadcasting, music broadcasting, people's livelihood broadcasting), 2 online media (Hainan Network Radio and TV Station, Blue Net) and 1 print media (Hainan Audio Screen News). It has 18 management departments and business organizations and 13 transmitting stations.

The Group now has 17 subsidiaries, and its main businesses include radio, film and television program production and distribution, advertising business, large-scale exhibitions, high-end performing arts, cultural tourism real estate, cable network program transmission, film distribution and screening, new media business, news publishing, cultural media and other related businesses. The registered capital is 430 million yuan, and the total assets are about 1.4 billion yuan.

At present, the total number of employees (group) is 2131, including 634 business staff, accounting for 29.75%. 1753 people have bachelor's degree or above, accounting for 82.26%. 353 people with intermediate professional titles or above, accounting for 16.56%. 1303 CPC members (including retired).

4、 Financing media development

Hainan Radio and TV Station is the largest media organization in Hainan Province. It has 7 TV channels, 5 radio frequencies, 1 newspaper, 1 mobile TV channel, and a new media platform with two networks, three terminals, two micro businesses and IPTV as the core. "Two networks" refer to Hainan Network Radio and Television Station and Blue Network; "Three ends" refer to the audio-visual Hainan client, the live broadcast APP, and the tourism online video; "Two WeChat" refers to the WeChat official account of the main station and the official microblog of the main station.
