How can I apply for a temporary ID card through the "12306" APP?
If the passenger on the train loses or does not carry his/her ID card, he/she can submit an application for temporary electronic ID card online at 12306APP. After verification, he/she can normally purchase tickets, return or change tickets, enter the station, check in tickets, etc. at the station without having to apply for a paper certificate.
Step 1: Open and log in the railway "12306" APP, and click the [Warm Service] icon in the application area on the home page.
Step 2: click [Temporary ID card for taking passenger train] service in the opened "Warm Service" application interface.
Step 3: Fill in the passenger's identity information: "name", "certificate type", "certificate number", "city".
Prompt: When passengers go online to apply for "temporary identity certificate for taking the passenger train", they need to open the mobile phone location service.
Step 4: Click the [Agree] button in the pop-up "Warm Prompt" interface.
Step 5: On my confirmation page, please confirm to read the "Certification Service Agreement" and the "Privacy Policy", and click the [Next] button.
Step 6: Conduct "face recognition".
