Flexibility as a Basic Principle: Since the transition to remote work in 2020, AOE has made flexibility the rule. Employees have the option to work both in the office and remotely, even up to 3 months in EU countries, and also have the freedom to adjust their working hours and scope. We know that taking time off is important, which is why we offer 30 vacation days as standard, as well as the option for a sabbatical and unpaid leave. Each year, employees are provided up to €2,000 for professional and personal development.
Furthermore, we make life easier during family challenges, such as by offering paid leave for child sickness days (up to 10 days per year) without requiring a medical certificate. OpenUp provides psychological counseling for employees—free of charge and anonymous, whether for work-related or private matters.
