Amoi Technology Co., Ltd., formerly known as Amoi Electronics Co., Ltd., was the first Sino foreign joint venture in Xiamen. It was renamed as "Amoi Electronics Co., Ltd." on August 5, 2003. In 2005, the brand value of Amoi reached 7.062 billion yuan, ranking at the top of the list of "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands". On December 20, 2009, Amoi reorganized its business and established Amoi Technology Co., Ltd.
