Interplanted watermelons grow in natural climate conditions and come into market in July. These watermelons are usually thin skinned and thick fleshed, with high sweetness and freshness.

Daxin Town, Wuhe County has a history of watermelon interplanting for nearly 30 years. In recent years, the town has continuously explored the planting mode and adopted the "wheat melon bean interplanting" method. The income of the interplanting field is about 5000 yuan more than that of the original single planting mode, and the output benefit of one mu of land is twice that of the original. According to statistics, this year the town's "wheat melon bean intercropping" area is about 10000 mu, radiating more than 100 surrounding farmers to learn the watermelon intercropping model. The surrounding villages and towns will be driven to plant nearly 3000 mu of watermelon, and more than 2000 farmers are expected to increase their income.
