Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), we have taken strict governance in an all-round way as the distinctive theme of Party building in the new era, put forward a series of innovative ideas, implemented a series of reform practices, improved a series of systems and norms, promoted the continuous deepening and development of the great project of Party building, and initially established a system of strict governance in an all-round way.

Building a system of comprehensive and strict governance of the Party is an overall and pioneering work. In the 10 years of the new era, our party has constantly deepened its understanding of the law of self revolution, constantly promoted the theoretical innovation, practical innovation and institutional innovation of party building, and accumulated rich achievements in building a system of strict governance of the party in an all-round way. We regard the political construction of the Party as the fundamental construction of the Party, and always put it in the first place. We take a clear stand in upholding and strengthening the leadership of the Party, serious political life within the Party, purify and repair the political ecology, and promote the whole Party to strengthen the "Four Consciousness", firm the "Four Confidence", achieve the "Two Safeguards", closely unite around the Party Central Committee, and achieve the unity of the Party. We regard ideological construction as the basic construction of the Party. According to the public opinion survey conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics in 2022, 97.4% of the people are satisfied with the overall strict governance of the Party, the construction of a clean and honest government and the effectiveness of anti-corruption work, an increase of 22.4 percentage points over 2012.
