　　 This issue is about The real case handled by the People's Procuratorate of Guzhen County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province -- The Environmental Pollution Case of Trans provincial Dumping 。  

　　 Brief Introduction to the Environmental Pollution Case of Trans provincial Dumping  

　　 From the second half of 2017 to October 2019, Ma Xiaojian, the legal representative of a leather company limited by the defendant, and Gao Feng, the person in charge of sewage treatment, violated the relevant provisions of the Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, changed the sewage treatment process specified in the environmental review document without authorization, and handed over the generated pollutants containing heavy metal chromium to Li Huiliang, who had no corresponding treatment qualification (another case) Disposal by Liu Wei. The defendants Liu Wei and Liu Sigong invited the defendants Liu Chen and other 17 freight drivers to transport the pollutant to Guzhen County for dumping. The defendants Yang Bin and Meng Weiming, knowing that the above pollutants may pollute the environment, still provided several sites in Guzhen County for the defendants Liu Wei and Liu Sigong to dump and bury.  

　　 A leather limited company of the defendant unit disposed of more than 5892 and 52 tons of the above pollutants through the defendants Liu Wei, Liu Sigong and others. The environmental branch of Guzhen County, Bengbu City has determined that the pollutant involved in the case belongs to the chrome containing hazardous waste generated from the chrome tanning process sewage treatment of the leather industry listed in the national hazardous waste list.

The amount of hazardous wastes involved in this case is particularly huge, with 24 people involved. The case is complicated. The heavy metal chromium contained in the pollutants involved is clearly listed in the National Twelfth Five Year Plan for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Heavy Metal Pollutants, and it is dumped across provinces in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, which has a very bad impact on the environment. The handling of the case was praised jointly by the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Ecological Environment.
