Violent resistance to law enforcement and abusive beating of epidemic prevention staff. On February 20, 2020, Liang Moumou, who was prosecuted by the People's Procuratorate of Guzhen County, Bengbu City, was suspected of obstructing public service in the first instance of the People's Court of Guzhen County. It is reported that this case is the first case in Bengbu City involving epidemic disease and obstruction of official duties.

After legal review, at 15:00 on February 2, 2020, when the defendant Liang was driving through the epidemic prevention inspection checkpoint in Liangqiao Village, Liuji Town, Guzhen County, because he was dissatisfied with the inspection of the epidemic prevention staff, he was angry and insulted and beat an epidemic prevention staff, causing injuries to the right ear and right eyelid of the victim.

The procuratorial organ believed that the defendant Liang refused to cooperate with the epidemic prevention inspection during the first level response to public health emergencies in Bengbu City, and abused and beat the staff who stuck to the epidemic prevention front line, which caused a very bad impact on the society and constituted a crime of obstruction of public service.

In view of the fact that the defendant, Mr. Liang, was able to truthfully state his crime, timely apologized to the epidemic prevention staff and obtained their understanding, the Guzhen County Procuratorate applied the system of pleading guilty, admitting punishment and leniency to the case according to law, and suggested that the court apply the expedited adjudication procedure to the trial of the case, In the end, the procuratorial organ's suggestions on Liang's conviction and sentencing were fully adopted by the court, and the Guzhen County Court sentenced Liang to six months' imprisonment for the crime of obstructing public service.
