On February 17, the Procuratorate of Changfeng County, Hefei City, Anhui Province intervened in advance in a fraud case of using the Internet to sell fake masks being handled by the public security bureau of the county, and put forward three suggestions, including strict and fast handling of the case.
In February this year, Chen, a young man after "00", found that during the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, the masses had a large demand for masks, and had the idea of selling masks falsely to commit fraud. Chen published the information of mask sales and WeChat contact information on the Internet. After the buyer paid for the goods, he fabricated reasons for failure to ship, and blackmailed the buyer's WeChat and deleted it. Chen defrauded the victim of more than 160000 yuan.
On February 13, Chen was arrested by the Changfeng County Public Security Bureau. On February 17, the leader of the Changfeng County Procuratorate appointed two prosecutors to the Changfeng County Public Security Bureau to intervene in the fraud case in advance.
