Recently, the Market Supervision Administration of Guichi District sent a reply letter to the District Procuratorate, saying that it had ordered relevant decoration companies to correct their illegal acts immediately.

From November 2023 to January this year, many homeowners in a new community in Guichi District reported to the Guichi District Procuratorate that a decoration company and a home decoration supervision company in Chizhou illegally collected personal information of the homeowner and frequently contacted the homeowner to promote business, which has interfered with the normal life of the homeowner.

After investigation, Guichi District Procuratorate found that the above companies did have illegal acts of collecting and using the owner's information. With the deepening of the investigation, the hospital also found that several decoration companies within the jurisdiction also had this illegal act. In view of the violation of consumers' privacy rights and social and public interests, on January 11 this year, the Guichi District Procuratorate issued a procuratorial proposal to the Market Supervision Administration of the district, suggesting that the bureau strengthen the rectification of operators' illegal collection and use of consumers' personal information, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers by ordering correction, administrative punishment and other means.

After receiving the inspection suggestions, the Market Supervision Administration of Guichi District attached great importance to it and organized personnel to go to the two decoration companies mentioned above for on-site law enforcement inspection, and fixed illegal evidence of illegal collection and use of citizens' personal information to send commercial advertisements. As the two decoration companies committed minor violations and actively cooperated with the investigation, the Market Supervision Administration of Guichi District issued the Notice of Ordering Correction to them. Subsequently, the market supervision and administration bureau of the district investigated other decoration companies and promptly supervised and corrected the illegal behaviors found.

Recently, the bureau issued a written reply to the Guichi District Procuratorate, introducing the situation of administrative law enforcement, and said that it would continue to strengthen inspection, standardize market behavior, and ensure the security of citizens' personal information.
