In the face of severe drought, on August 25, Hefei Municipal Procuratorate donated water pumps to Wang Hongyu and Lv Shanghui, two major grain growers in the New Union Community of Zhangji Township in the county, to help them fight drought and ensure income, and take practical actions to solve problems for the people.
Watching the gurgling river flowing into the farmland, Wang Hongshui, a grain grower, said gratefully, "I was worried that the 1000 mu rice field could not be irrigated. Fortunately, the municipal procuratorate sent me a pump in time to help me solve the urgent problem!"
It is reported that the drought area of rice in Xinlian Community of Feidong County has reached more than 5000 mu this year. The Hefei Procuratorate has selected the first secretary in the community and the community cadres to fully carry out drought relief, actively coordinate the water supply to fight drought, maximize the irrigation of dry crops, and strive to minimize the loss of autumn crops.
