Xi Jinping: Throw away the guy who can't eat in his hand first

On March 5, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, participated in the deliberations of the Inner Mongolia delegation at the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress.

   Time: afternoon of March 5

Agenda: General Secretary Xi Jinping Attends the Deliberation of the Inner Mongolia Delegation

Every year, the Inner Mongolia delegation participates in the deliberation, and coal is a new topic that is often raised.

Chisel through chaos to get black gold. This time, Jia Run'an, a representative from Guoneng Baotou Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., delivered a speech entitled "Promoting the high-end, diversified and low-carbon development of the coal chemical industry, helping to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality".

General Secretary Xi Jinping was very impressed.

In the autumn of 2020, the General Secretary announced at the United Nations General Assembly a major strategic decision made by China after careful consideration: "China's carbon dioxide emissions will strive to reach the peak by 2030, and strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060."

As the largest developing country in the world, China will achieve the highest reduction in global carbon emission intensity and achieve carbon neutrality in the shortest time in world history. You can imagine the difficulty of the matter.

Roll up your sleeves, and the whole country will be united. However, in some places, it is inevitable that the pace is faster and larger.

At this moment, at the site of the deliberation in the Great Hall of the People, General Secretary Xi Jinping listened to the speeches made by the delegates and deeply expounded his thinking on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

"Achieving the goal of" double carbon "is a broad and profound change, but also a long-term task, which requires both perseverance and scientific and orderly progress." "This matter should be considered in accordance with the national layout. The 'dual carbon' goal is national. Where to reduce, where to clear, where to retain, and even where to increase as energy conservation measures, it should be measured from a national perspective. "

You can't hurry or slow down. Steady, steady and firm.

The General Secretary earnestly urged us to earnestly trust: "Green transformation is a process, not an overnight thing. It should be done first, not first. Rich coal and poor oil and gas are our national conditions, and it is difficult to fundamentally change the coal based energy structure in the short term. To achieve the goal of "double carbon", we must base ourselves on the national conditions, adhere to the principle of making progress while maintaining stability, and gradually achieve it. We must not be divorced from reality and eager to achieve results, and engage in sports style "carbon reduction" and "hard braking". The guy who can't eat in his hand should be thrown away first, but the new guy hasn't got it yet. We should not only have a green and clean environment, but also ensure the normal progress of our production and life. "

Speaking of this, General Secretary Xi Jinping recalled a story he had read and shared it with great interest:

"Sun Yat sen once told an interesting story to satirize some people. There was a coolie who usually took a bamboo pole to pick things for others. One day, he bought a lottery ticket and hid it in the bamboo pole. Suddenly, he found that his number won the first prize. When he was happy, he threw the bamboo pole into the river. He thought he would never have to do such coolie again in his life. Only when I got to the prize office did I find that the lottery ticket had been thrown into the river with the bamboo pole. This is nothing. "

All things are born by their origin, and all things are accomplished by their way. The General Secretary said: "We must master such a principle when doing things. We must calculate big accounts, long-term accounts, overall accounts and comprehensive accounts."
