"These days, it's hot and hot. I'm worried that my vegetables can't be sold. I really thank you." Yan Guangyin, a poor family living in Sandian Village, Sangying Town, Taihe County, said excitedly. Yan Guangyin, a poverty-stricken household, is the object of assistance from Sun Chaohui, director of the research office of the People's Procuratorate of Taihe County. Planting greenhouse vegetables is Yan Guangyin's poverty alleviation measure in 2018 and its main economic source. During the poverty alleviation visit, Director Sun learned that in order to sell vegetables at a good price, Yan Guangyin needs to get up at 3 am every day and go to Ni Qiu Ji, a place dozens of miles away, to sell vegetables. However, many vegetables are still unsalable. Director Sun planned to help Yan Guangyin expand his sales and build his confidence in poverty alleviation.
In the afternoon of July 25, the volunteer service team of the hospital went to the home of Yan Guangyin, a poverty-stricken family, to pick and buy their own vegetables to help get rid of poverty as soon as possible.
Just arrived at Yan Guangyin's home, the police talked with Yan Guangyin to ask him about his recent life, the selling price of his own vegetables and what difficulties he had, and publicized his poverty alleviation policies and checked his poverty alleviation materials. Then, regardless of the hot weather, everyone went to Yan Guangyin to pick vegetables from their own vegetable fields. During the picking process, sweat soaked everyone's clothes, but it was hot and happy. Yan Guangyin also kept smiling on his face, and reminded the police not to take a handle of eggplant to avoid hurting their hands, and not to cut the leek stubble too long, so as not to affect the growth of the next crop.
After picking and weighing, Director Sun handed the money to Yan Guangyin and told him that if the vegetables were unsalable in the future, he would call to explain the difficulties, and the county procuratorate would contact the market in time to help him increase his income. Before leaving, Yan Guangyin shook Director Sun's hand and said, "I am very grateful to our comrades in the procuratorate. You have helped me a lot. With your help, I don't worry about vegetable sales, and I am full of confidence in getting rid of poverty and becoming rich."
Since this year, Taihe County Procuratorate has carried out targeted poverty alleviation work in a down-to-earth manner, not only staying at home to investigate the causes of poverty and publicize poverty alleviation policies, but also actively innovating poverty alleviation measures, helping poor households sell agricultural and sideline products, and really increasing income for poor households.
