How to deal with the crime of attacking the police

Resolution:
1. If the perpetrator makes a violent attack on the people's police who are performing their duties according to law, he will be deemed as a crime of assaulting the police and face a punishment of not more than three years' imprisonment, detention or public surveillance;
2. If the perpetrator seriously endangers his personal safety by using guns, controlling knives, or driving a motor vehicle to hit, he may be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years;
3. If the perpetrator uses violence, threat or other means to hinder the staff of state organs from performing their duties according to law, he will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or a fine.
Legal basis:
Article 277 of the Criminal Law
Whoever, by means of violence or threat, obstructs a functionary of a State organ from performing his duties according to law shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention, public surveillance or a fine.
Whoever, by means of violence or threat, obstructs deputies to the National People's Congress or local people's congresses at various levels from performing their functions as deputies according to law shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
Whoever, in the course of natural disasters or emergencies, obstructs the staff of the Red Cross Society from performing their duties according to law by means of violence or threat shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph.
Whoever intentionally obstructs a State security organ or a public security organ from carrying out a task of State security according to law, without resorting to violence or threat, thus causing serious consequences, shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph.
Whoever violently attacks a people's policeman who is performing his duties according to law shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years, criminal detention or public surveillance;
Whoever seriously endangers his personal safety by means of using guns, controlled knives, or driving a motor vehicle to hit, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years.
