The employing unit shall purchase work-related injury insurance for all its employees. The employees of the employing unit refer to the workers who have labor relations (including factual labor relations) with the employing unit in various forms and for various periods of employment. According to the Labor Contract Law and the Regulations on the Implementation of the Labor Contract Law, if a worker reaches the statutory retirement age, the labor contract will be terminated. Therefore, when the laborer reaches the statutory retirement age or has gone through retirement procedures, there is no labor relationship with the employer. The employer should go through the procedures for the increase or decrease of insured personnel in the insurance agency of the insured place and stop participating in the industrial injury insurance from the month after the laborer reaches the statutory retirement age or goes through retirement procedures. At the same time, all industrial injury insurance agencies are required to review the basic information of the insured in a timely manner, and handle the procedures for stopping the insurance and paying fees for the unqualified insured according to the regulations. If the personnel who do not meet the insurance conditions are not included in the insurance according to the regulations, and accident injuries occur in the work, the work-related injury insurance fund will not pay the relevant fees.
