Wuhai City is located in the upper reaches of the Yellow River in the west of Ziye District, Inner Mongolia. It is a prefecture level city under the jurisdiction of Ziye District, Inner Mongolia. It is adjacent to the Ordos Plateau in the east, Alxa Grassland in the west, Ningxia Plain in the south, and Hetao Irrigation District in the north.It covers an area of 1754 square kilometers and has a population of 440000.
