3、 Precautions for purchase and selection of natural gas flowmeter:
The selection of flow meters often plays an important role in the successful use of the meters. Because of the complex conditions of the tested objects, the wide variety of meters, and the performance indicators, it is difficult to select the type of meters. There is no perfect flowmeter, and all kinds of instruments have their own characteristics. The purpose of model selection is to choose the more appropriate instrument among many varieties.
The general selection can be considered from five aspects, including instrument performance, fluid characteristics, installation conditions, environmental conditions and economic factors.
The detailed factors of the five aspects are as follows:
a. Instrument performance
Accuracy, repeatability, linearity, range, flow range, signal output characteristics, response time, pressure loss, etc;
b. Fluid characteristics
Temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, chemical corrosion, abrasiveness, scaling, miscibility, phase change, conductivity, sound velocity, thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, isentropic index;
c. Conditional aspects

4、 The selection steps of natural gas flowmeter are as follows:
1. The available instrument types shall be preliminarily selected according to the fluid type and five considerations (several types shall be available for selection);
2. Collect data and price information of the primary type to prepare conditions for in-depth analysis and comparison;
3. The elimination method is used to gradually focus on one or two types, and the pre selection goals should be determined after repeated comparison and analysis of the five factors
5、 Installation conditions of natural gas flowmeter
1. The sensor should be installed on a horizontal, vertical, inclined (liquid flow from bottom to top) pipe with the same diameter. The upstream and downstream of the sensor shall be equipped with straight pipe sections of certain length, which shall meet the requirements of 15~20D for the front straight pipe section and 5~1OD for the rear straight pipe section.
2. The pipeline near the liquid sensor shall be filled with the measured liquid.
3. The sensor shall not be installed on the pipeline with strong mechanical vibration.
4. The inner diameter of the straight pipe section should be consistent with the sensor diameter as much as possible. If not, a pipe slightly larger than the sensor diameter should be used, with an error of ≤ 3% and no more than 5mm.
5. If the measured medium contains many impurities, a filter shall be installed beyond the length required by the straight pipe section upstream of the sensor.
6. The sensor shall not be installed in places with strong electromagnetic interference, small space and inconvenient maintenance.
