The concept of information cocoon room was put forward by Keith Thornstein, a professor of Harvard Law School and President Obama's legal adviser, in his book "Information Utopia - How People Produce Knowledge" published in 2006. Through an investigation of the Internet, Thornstein pointed out that in the process of information dissemination, because the public's own information needs are not comprehensive, the public only pay attention to what they choose and the communication field that makes them happy, and as time passes, they will shackle themselves to the cocoon like "cocoon room".
