On February 1, 1923, the founding meeting of the Beijing Wuhan Railway Federation of Trade Unions held in Zhengzhou was obstructed by Wu Peifu, a direct warlord, and the Federation decided to hold a general strike. On February 4, the general strike began, more than 30000 workers acted in unison, and the Beijing Wuhan railway was completely paralyzed, which was the peak of the first climax of the national labor movement led by the Communist Party of China.
