Central Weather Station stops numbering "Talas"

The 12th strong tropical storm of this year, Talas, weakened into a tropical storm in western Honshu, Japan at 2:00 a.m. on September 4, and turned into an extratropical cyclone in the Sea of Japan at 08:00. The Central Meteorological Station stopped numbering it at 08:00 on September 4. Under the influence of "Taras", a 7-9 strong wind appeared in most of the Japanese archipelago, heavy to heavy rain appeared in the east of Kyushu, Shikoku Island, west and south of Honshu, Hokkaido, and heavy or extremely heavy rain appeared in some areas.
