According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, after Shenzhou 18 manned spacecraft entered orbit, it successfully docked with the radial port of the space station sky and core module at 3:32 on April 26, 2024, Beijing time. The entire autonomous rendezvous and docking process took about 6.5 hours.

According to the mission plan, the three astronauts will then enter the space station and the core module from the Shenzhou 18 manned spacecraft. The Shenzhou 17 crew has made preparations for the arrival of the Shenzhou 18 crew, and two "Flying Groups" with an average age of less than 40 are about to meet in the "Tiangong".
