The growing armed forces in the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base made the surrounding Kuomintang warlords uneasy. In June 1928, under the command of Zhu De and Chen Yi, the Fourth Red Army wiped out more than 1000 attacking enemies at Longyuankou at the junction of Yongxin County and Ninggang County, breaking the fourth "invasion" of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base by the Kuomintang Army. Since then, the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base has entered its heyday.
