Xinhua News Agency, Kunming, April 23 The Third National Reading Conference · Forum on Reading and Rural Revitalization and the launching ceremony of 2024 "New Era Rural Reading Season" was held in Kunming, Yunnan on April 23. The forum was guided by the Central Propaganda Department (the State Press and Publication Administration), the Central Social Work Department, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and co sponsored by the Printing and Distribution Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department, the Fifth Bureau of the Central Social Work Department, and the Rural Social Undertaking Promotion Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
The 2024 "New Era Rural Reading Season" is sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and takes the farmer's bookstore as the platform to launch a number of activities that are suitable for and happy with farmers, so as to promote Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China to take root in the countryside and become popular.
The forum released 50 "rural reading promoters" selected nationwide, which focused on the demonstration figures of rural reading promotion emerging in recent years, providing an important reference for exploring the development path of rural reading in the new era.
