German technical background Volcker VOK-110 wetting dispersant
Wetting and dispersion additives for solvent based coatings that improve pigment wetting, reduce the time required for the grinding process and stabilize the pigment dispersion. The deflocculation of pigments stabilizes the hue and tinting power and prevents floating/blooming. The additive strongly reduces the viscosity and improves the gloss and leveling of the paint.
VOK-110 is suitable for stabilizing inorganic pigments, especially titanium dioxide, and strongly reducing the viscosity of abrasives. It reduces the fog shadow of coatings containing inorganic pigments during electrostatic spraying.
VOK-110 is mainly used in automotive coatings and industrial coatings, and also can be used to prepare pigment concentrate slurry. Because of its anionic properties, it is an ideal additive in acid catalytic systems (for example, coil coatings). It can be used together with VOK-160 series dispersion stable pigment slurry without any problem.
