The number of birds coming here for wintering is increasing day by day, and the population number has repeatedly broken historical records. In fact, it is not only Xinjizhou. Over the years, with the continuous improvement of the ecological environment, more and more wild animals and plants have appeared in Nanjing. Nanjing's biodiversity has continued to "thicken", which has become a clear proof of Nanjing's adherence to ecological priority and green development.
The theme of this year's International Biodiversity Day is "Biodiversity You and I Participate Together", which aims to mobilize all sectors of society to give play to their respective strengths and jointly participate in biodiversity conservation. Understanding is the premise of conservation. To improve the consciousness and participation of all sectors of society in protecting biodiversity, it is necessary to integrate this concept into the whole process of ecological civilization construction, so that the whole society can have a deeper understanding of the significance of biodiversity conservation, and the scientific knowledge of "how to protect biodiversity" can be more widely popularized.
