Steel bar rolling straight thread connection method (JSGF02-2001) 1. Scope of application Steel bar and other strong threaded joints (rolling) are applicable to all seismic fortification and non seismic fortification concrete structure projects, especially to important structures that require full play of steel bar strength and ductility. 1.1 Connection of rebar with thick diameter and different diameters. 1.2 Connection of bent reinforcement and overlong horizontal reinforcement. 1.3 Butt joint of reinforcement cage. 1.4 Butt joint between two fixed reinforcements. 1.5 Connection of steel structure and reinforcement. When the section steel column intersects the main reinforcement of the beam, the nuts welded on the steel plate can be used to connect the reinforcement. 2. Process principle The principle of reinforcement equal strength rolling straight thread connection is: the reinforcement end is rounded by roller and rolled out of the thread at one time. The sleeve is a mechanical joint of reinforcement formed by thread connection. There are six types of straight thread joint connection: (reducing type and flared type are not introduced here) 2.1 Type I connection (standard type joint) is used in the situation where the reinforcement can rotate freely. The connector can be locked by turning the steel bar half to one circle, and the standard connecting sleeve can be selected. 2.3 Type III connection (with locking female joint) is used for the connection of bent reinforcement, bridge, cast-in-place pile and other reinforcement cages that can not rotate at all. Screw the lock nut and the connecting sleeve into the extended thread in advance, and then screw into the thread at the end of another reinforcement, and lock the connecting sleeve with the lock nut. Standard or flared connecting sleeve can be used with locknut. 2.4 Type IV connection (positive and negative screw thread connection) is used in situations where the reinforcement cannot rotate at all and the internal force of the reinforcement is required to be adjusted, such as construction joints, post cast strips, etc. The connecting sleeve is equipped with positive and negative screw threads, and two rebars can be loosened or tightened in one screwing direction. The connecting sleeve with positive and negative screw threads shall be used first. 3. Construction sequence 3.1 Cutting of reinforcement end. 3.2 Rebar end rounding. 3.3 Rolling thread while rounding. 3.4 Butt reinforcement with connecting sleeve. 4. Key points of operation 4.1 The end of the reinforcement shall be straightened before blanking. The end face of the cut shall be perpendicular to the axis of the reinforcement. There shall be no horseshoe shape or deflection. Cutting by gas cutting is not allowed. 4.2 The rolling head of rolling mill shall be cooled with water-soluble cutting coolant, and oil coolant shall not be used for threading. The wire lines of the reinforcement and the connecting sleeve shall be intact. If any impurity is found on the surface of the wire lines, it shall be removed.
