[Shenzhen Business Daily] Comprehensive Xinhua News Agency and chinanews. com reported that on the 14th, under the overall coordination of the International Fugitive Recovery Office of the Central Anti Corruption Coordination Group, China's procuratorial, public security, diplomatic and other departments as well as the Hunan Provincial Fugitive Recovery Office worked closely to persuade Chen Yijuan, a criminal suspect who had absconded to the UK, to return to China and surrender.
Chen Yijuan, born in 1970, was once an employee of the General Affairs Department of China Mobile Group Terminal Company Hunan Branch. She was suspected of money laundering. In April 2013, she fled to the UK and ranked No. 15 among the 100 "Hongtong" personnel.
In 2015, after China launched the "Skynet" action and exposed the "hundreds of popular people", under the command of the Central Fugitive Pursuit Office and the Anti Corruption Coordination Group of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, the Fugitive Pursuit Office of Hunan Province took the Chen Yijuan case as a key supervision case, broke down tasks, implemented responsibilities and made breakthroughs with all efforts. The procuratorial organ of Hunan Province has set up a special case team to pursue fugitives, formulate a timetable and roadmap, and do a good job in basic investigation work. Under the legal deterrence and policy inspiration, Chen Yijuan finally chose to voluntarily surrender to the country.
It is reported that Chen Yijuan is the first person recovered from the "Skynet" action in Hunan Province, and the 20th "Hundred Red Pass Personnel" in China.
Before Chen Yijuan, 19 suspects, including Dai Xuemin, Li Huabo, Sun Xin and Yang Jinjun, have been brought to justice. Among them, Yang Jinjun is the younger brother of Yang Xiuzhu, the number one suspect of "China's first corrupt female official" and "Red Order".
According to statistics, 8 of the 20 people are suspected of corruption, including Dai Xuemin, Li Huabo, Sun Xin, Yang Jinjun, etc. Another 4 people were suspected of taking bribes, two of whom were suspected of taking bribes by non State functionaries.
The other seven were also charged with "misappropriating public funds", "falsifying VAT invoices", "fraud", etc.
According to statistics, among the 20 people who have been convicted, Yang Jinjun, Huang Yurong, Niu Liying and many others fled to the United States and Canada. When the official released the list of 100 "Red Notices" last year, it pointed out that the number of people who fled to the United States was the highest, 40, followed by Canada, 26.
Among the 20 people who have been convicted, 8 were persuaded to return. Chen Yijuan, who was convicted today, is an example. Persuading the fugitives to return is a measure that, with the cooperation of the judicial and law enforcement authorities of the country where the fugitives were found, encourages the fugitives to return home voluntarily for treatment by giving play to the deterrent power of law and the appeal power of policy.
