"The workshop can turn off the lights for production and realize 24-hour operation. Some of the lights reserved are just convenient for staff to monitor the equipment." Liu Decheng, deputy director in charge of smart manufacturing of Baosteel Cold Rolling Plant, introduced the "black light factory" to reporters. From raw materials to finished products, the "Black Light Factory" is mainly completed by intelligent robots or automatic equipment according to the system instructions. The relevant production, storage, handling and testing links often do not need manual operation, and the production efficiency has also increased by 30%.

It is reported that Baosteel is the third international and the first domestic steel enterprise to be selected into the "lighthouse factory" network. At the same time, in April this year, a new round of digital intelligence transformation strategy marked by "AI+" was formulated, and the AI strategy was launched in an all-round way. In the future, Baosteel will continue to lead in the direction of "high-end, intelligent, green and efficient", take the responsibility of the new low-carbon metallurgical modern industry chain leader, and innovate, explore and practice more ways to reduce carbon in the industry.
