People's Daily Online, Shanghai, January 17 (Reporter Shen Wenmin) With the approaching of the Beijing Winter Olympics, there are more and more fans of ski tours. This winter holiday, where is the most fun to ski, and which ski resort has the best snow quality? Where are the most skiers? A few days ago, China Weather Network and Ctrip Group jointly released the Report on Domestic Skiing Tours in Winter Holiday and Spring Festival Holiday in 2020.

According to the data released by Ctrip, during the winter holiday and the Spring Festival holiday this year, the top ten popular ski resorts that attracted the attention of domestic tourists were all located in the north. Yabuli New Sports Committee Ski Resort (Shangzhi), Wanlong Ski Resort (Zhangjiakou), Taiwu Ski Town (Zhangjiakou) and other ski resorts had their own characteristics and remained high in popularity.

For skiers, the quality of snow in ski resorts is one of the important factors that affect skiing experience. The China Weather Network has defined five types of snow, namely powder snow, dry powder snow, soft snow, wet snow and ice snow.

Among them, powder snow is the most popular snow quality among ski enthusiasts, with natural snow as the main state; Dry powder snow is soft and powdery, and it feels floating when sliding on it; Soft snow is mostly compacted by snow rollers after artificial snow making, which is the most common snow quality in domestic ski resorts; Wet snow is muddy, with large sliding resistance, which is mostly formed in high humidity weather; Ice snow refers to the snow state formed after the snow melts in windy days or high temperature in the daytime, and freezes again at night. It is difficult to control the speed and direction of sliding.

According to the snow quality forecast data of the China Weather Network, the ten popular ski resorts have good snow quality during the winter holiday this year, most of which are powder snow, which will bring tourists a good skiing experience and fully enjoy flying on snow. If tourists need to query the weather or snow quality forecast of relevant ski resorts before traveling, they can log on to the mobile version of China Weather Network, enter the name of the ski resort, and then find the relevant information.

It is a habit for many tourists to visit the surrounding cities after skiing. According to the data released by Ctrip, the top ten ski destinations this year are Baishan, Zhangjiakou, Harbin, Changchun, Chengdu, Shangzhi, Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang and Shaoxing.

Interestingly, most of the popular destination cities match the geographical location of the top ten popular ski resorts, which are concentrated in North China and Northeast China. However, Chengdu and Shaoxing, two southern cities, have unexpectedly become the "dark horses" on the list. According to reports, this is because there are many ski resorts around Chengdu, attracting many tourists from southwest China. Shaoxing, Zhejiang has a rare indoor ski resort in the Yangtze River Delta, which has become the latest choice for tourists from Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai to experience skiing fun.

What's the weather like when I go skiing in these popular cities during the holiday? Especially for tourists from the south, what is the probability of seeing snow? According to the climate statistics of China Weather Network, during the winter vacation this year, the daytime temperature in Harbin, Changchun and other northeastern cities was about - 8 ℃, so warm keeping measures should be taken. Baishan is the city with the highest probability of snowfall, with 8.3 snowfall days in the same period throughout the year. If you choose to go to Chengdu and Shaoxing, you'd better prepare an umbrella. The average rainy day in these two cities is about 10 days during winter vacation.

Most popular ski resorts and destination cities are located in the north, so where do tourists who like skiing come from? According to Ctrip data, the top ten popular tourist source cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chengdu, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Shenyang, Nanjing, Changchun and Wuhan, with five cities in the north and five in the south. It can be said that people from both the north and the south can hardly resist the love of snow and the pleasure of skiing.
