At noon on April 11, 2024, the School of Economics and Management held the general meeting of the Young Teachers' Committee and the Young Teachers' Symposium in Conference Room 611, Siyuan East Building. All members of the college team and representatives of young teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Xinying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
Wei Wenchao summarized the work on behalf of the First Young Teachers Committee. He reviewed the achievements of the committee in responding to the work of the college, promoting the growth of young teachers, strengthening scientific research cooperation and other aspects from the three major platform functions of scientific research, communication and development, and put forward suggestions for future work. He hoped that the young teachers committee would always adhere to its original intention and try to provide all-round support and help for young teachers.
Zhang Xinying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, announced the list of staff of the second Youth Teachers Committee and expressed warm congratulations to the new members. Li Tong, the secretary of the Party Committee, and Shi Xianliang, the president, jointly issued letters of appointment to the new members, which marked that they officially shouldered the responsibility of serving young teachers and carried the trust and expectation of the college.
Shuang Qing, the director of the second Young Teachers' Committee, made a speech, saying that she would inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the first committee, hold a variety of exchange activities in teaching, scientific research, practice, culture and sports, and pay more attention to providing young teachers with personalized growth paths and career plans to help them define their career goals and realize their self-worth. At the same time, the Committee will also actively build a platform to strive for more development opportunities and resources for young teachers and help them grow rapidly.
Li Tong, Secretary of the Party Committee, highly praised the hard work and important contributions of the members of the first session of the Young Teachers Committee, and hoped that the new committee could inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the first session, continue to play a central role, and lead young teachers to grow together. She stressed that young teachers are the hope and future of the development of the college. The Young Teachers Committee should give full play to its unique advantages, become a bridge and link for talent cultivation, create a more favorable environment for the growth and development of young teachers, and promote the rapid growth of young teachers.
During the exchange session, the young teachers present talked about the difficulties and problems they have encountered in teaching, scientific research, career planning and other aspects since their entry, as well as their own thoughts and suggestions. They all said that they would actively participate in the activities organized by the Committee, and contribute to the development of the college with more enthusiasm and more solid professional quality. The leaders of the college listened carefully to each teacher's speech and responded positively to the questions raised by the teachers.
At the end of the meeting, President Shi Xianliang summarized the symposium, stressing that the college attaches great importance to talents, will continue to innovate the working mechanism, optimize the service for young teachers, and launch the "All Things Know About Teachers of the School of Economics and Management" to promote the deep integration of young teachers and the college's career. He stressed that young teachers, as the key force to promote the development of the college, shoulder a major mission. It is hoped that young teachers can make up their shortcomings and strengths, actively participate in the public service and construction of the college, and strive to build the college into a "business school leading the development of China's industry".
