I-shou University

Yishou University, formerly known as Kaohsiung Institute of Technology, was founded in Kaohsiung in 1986. Yishou University is a higher education institution focusing on practicality and advocating unity of knowledge and practice, which was founded by Mr. Lin Yishou, the chairman of Yilian Group, after his successful career, in order to express his gratitude for the kindness of his mother and give back to his hometown. After years of efforts, it has achieved outstanding performance in teaching, research and administration, and was renamed "Yishou University" in August 1997. With its unique academic philosophy and practical spirit, Yishou University has stepped out of the role of a regional university step by step, looked at the world and marched towards the world class university.
