Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology
Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology is a university of science and technology founded in 1963 and located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It now has four colleges, including "School of Electricity and Resources", "School of Engineering", "School of Management", "School of Humanities and Society", five doctoral programs, 19 master's programs, 11 master's programs in industrial research and development, 18 departments, and two research centers. In 1998, it obtained ISO9002 international certification, the first college in Southeast Asia and China to obtain certification. In 2008, the school was awarded the title of "South District Teaching Resource Center" by the Ministry of Education. In December 2008, the university was certified by the Bureau of Industry of the Ministry of Economy as "Taiwan Intellectual Property Management Standard (TIPS)", the first university in China to pass the certification. In March 2012, the university was awarded the first trial period of the "Development Model University of Science and Technology Program".
