1. When do I submit my language scores at the latest?


Answer: For each project, students who have submitted their language scores will be given priority. Therefore, students who are interested in applying for exchange programs should prepare as soon as possible, and take the TOEFL or IELTS test as soon as possible. Each project usually starts to register at the end of June (dispatched in January of the next year)/the middle of December (dispatched in August or September of the next year), and some special schools will start in advance. Please pay attention to the registration notice.


2. How is the scholarship system for international classes regulated?

Students who meet the following conditions can apply for a scholarship of 2000 yuan:

(1) Must be an international student

(2) Qualified language scores must be submitted before November 20, the first semester of sophomore year
(3) Language score requirements: the total score of TOEFL is not less than 100 points (not less than 22 points for each item) or the total score of IELTS is not less than 7.0 points (not less than 6.5 points for each item)


3. I am a freshman/senior now, and I want to apply for the exchange program for one semester of undergraduate education. Is that OK?


may not. One semester undergraduate exchange program is for sophomore/junior students, who are sent to exchange and study at or below the junior level. Academic and professional postgraduate students can only be dispatched when they are in their second year of graduate study.


4. What is the basis for selecting students for each project?

Rank based on academic achievements, English proficiency, participation in international exchange affairs, ideological and political assessment, etc., and recommend the best for each project.


5. How can I exchange credits for the exchange program of a semester of undergraduate education?

Criteria for credit exchange: If the courses taken by students in the receiving school during the exchange semester meet the credit requirements of the receiving school for exchange students, they can exchange the credits and courses recommended to complete the credits in the corresponding semester in our school's training plan.


The principle of credit exchange: take the training plan of the exchange semester as a reference, the suggested credits of the exchange semester as the upper limit, and the courses to be exchanged shall be selected by the students themselves. The credit credit is used for the review of students' graduation qualification, but the courses filled in by students cannot be truly offset in the educational administration system. The real learning situation is the 7 semesters of Jiaotong University+1 semester of the foreign semester.


6. What courses do I choose in foreign schools when I participate in the exchange program of one semester of undergraduate education?


When selecting courses, we should refer to the training program of Jiaotong University, and the selected courses should be similar to those in the training plan of Jiaotong University in the exchange semester.

(1) America: 4-6 professional courses should be selected when selecting courses, so as to avoid the situation of not taking classes. The real learning time is 4 courses. There are at least 2 professional courses, and other courses are economic and management courses. 12 credits in total. After returning to China, the suggested credits for exchange semester will be deducted (only for courses offered by the School of Economics and Management, not for exchange Situation and Policy Course, Ideological and Political Course , mathematics, physical education, etc.)

(2) Europe: ECTS credit system is implemented. The total credits of the selected courses should not be less than 20 ECTS, at least half of which are professional courses, and the other courses are economic and management courses. Can read Humanities and Arts Language Courses , but not included in the 20ECTS. Credits recommended by the University for exchange semester after returning to China( Only the courses offered by the School of Economics and Management are offset, not offset Situation and Policy Course, Ideological and Political Course Mathematics, PE, etc

(3) Taiwan: A. Compulsory courses: the principle of exchange is that one course corresponds to another. You need to find the corresponding compulsory courses, and you can exchange them after returning home. If not, it needs to be repaired after returning home. B. Elective Courses : It is required to be an economic and management course, which does not follow the principle of "one course corresponds to one course", reference resources Training Plan of Jiaotong University in Exchange Semester It is suggested to select courses for credit.


7. What procedures should I go through before going abroad?


(1) Go through the formalities of leaving school halfway

(2) Fill in the agreement and handle notarization

(3) Students of the 2+2 Program shall submit one copy of Chinese and one copy of English transcripts of the previous four semesters before leaving school.


8. What procedures should exchange undergraduate students go through after returning to China?


(1) Go to the teaching department to go through the formalities for resumption

(2) Submit an electronic communication summary with unlimited words and pictures

(3) Credit credit: fill write Application Form for Credit Exchange Course Review Credits shall be exchanged in duplicate. Two copies of official transcripts and two copies of transcripts shall be attached to the application form and submitted to SD511


9. What procedures should students of the undergraduate 2+2 program go through in the fourth year?

(2) Registration and confirmation of online student status information All graduates need to log into Xuexin before graduation( www.chsi.com.cn )Register personal information and confirm whether the student status information is correct, including school, major and photos. The photos on Xuexin Online will be the photos on the graduates' diplomas and degree certificates.
