On January 6, 2024, the 8th Annual Conference of the Industry Branch of Beijing Jiaotong University Alumni Association and the 2024 New Year Forum of the School of Economics and Management were successfully held in the Science Hall with the theme of "enabling digital intelligence to promote innovation and integrating production and research". First of all, Gao Yan extended warm welcome and sincere wishes to alumni and guests, and introduced the development and construction achievements of the school in recent years. She pointed out that the alumni were proactive and had made outstanding achievements in their respective fields of work. They were deeply attached to their alma mater and had made positive contributions to the development of the school's career. Adhering to the concept of "service first, emotion gathering, resource integration, and win-win cooperation", the school will wholeheartedly serve alumni and build a bridge for emotional and intelligent exchanges. It is hoped that this annual meeting will, while reviewing the past, gather wisdom, gather consensus, discuss the theory, method and practice of digital intelligence in the industry, speed up the resonance between universities and industries, and promote the innovative development of digital intelligence in the industry.

Shi Xianliang made a report to the alumni. He introduced the new achievements and future development plan of the college from the aspects of history, teacher construction, discipline development, talent training, scientific research, social services, international exchanges, etc. It emphasizes optimizing the layout, building a good discipline development ecology, introducing talents beyond the norm, building a high-level teaching staff, and cultivating outstanding leading talents. Promote the construction of "four major" scientific research projects, deepen cooperation and enhance international influence.
