In February 2007, the Ninth City announced that it had reached an agreement with Webzen Inc., a South Korean online game development and publishing company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, and obtained the exclusive operation right of Huxley, a large-scale multiplayer online first person shooter game (MMOFPS) in China. In May 2007, the Ninth City officially announced that EA would invest US $167 million in the company. After the investment, the American game player EA would hold about 15% of the common shares of the Ninth City. At the same time, the Ninth City also announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with EA to exclusively operate EA Sports FIFA Online in mainland China. In May 2007, the Ninth City announced the signing of the leisure dance online game "AU2" (temporarily called "Jinwu Group 2") developed by G10 Entertainment Co., Ltd., a South Korean online game developer, and won the exclusive operation right in mainland China.
