Introduction to Qiandongnan

The beautiful and rich Qiandongnan Prefecture is inhabited by Miao, Dong, Shui, Yao, Zhuang, Buyi and other nationalities. The minority population in the prefecture accounts for 76% of the total population, and it is one of the autonomous prefectures with the highest proportion of minority population among the 30 autonomous prefectures in China. Qiandongnan Prefecture has a long history. Today, the jurisdiction of Qiandongnan Prefecture belonged to Qianzhong Prefecture and Xiangjun Prefecture in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Sizhou Prefecture, Zhenyuan Prefecture, Liping Prefecture and Duyun Prefecture respectively. It was established on July 23, 1956. When you enter Qiandongnan, you will feel that space is shifting and time is flowing backwards. The rich national historical and cultural accumulation also preserves the hair style of the Tang Dynasty, the clothing of the Song Dynasty, the architecture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and the legacy of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. There are more than 160 national and folk festivals in Qiandongnan Prefecture, which has the reputation of "Hometown of Hundred Festivals" and "Sea of Singing and Dancing". The living environment of "harmony between man and nature" and "harmony between man and nature" has been recognized by the World Rural Culture Foundation
