On October 10, the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, together with Junshan District Administration and Minzhong Law Enforcement Detachment of the Provincial Marine and Fishery Law Enforcement Corps, carried out emergency drills for fishery fire safety and water safety rescue, further establishing and improving the emergency mechanism for fishery safety accidents.

This drill is mainly divided into two parts. The first part simulates the rescue work after the accidental fire of the fishing boat, covering monitoring and early warning, consultation, research and judgment, command and dispatching, on-site disposal and other links, and panoramic reproduction of the safety emergency response linkage mechanism. The second part is the rescue work after the simulated personnel fall into the water. At the scene, the staff from the Fujian Red Cross (Pingtan) Cross Strait Water Rescue Team explained to the fishermen the measures and precautions to be taken for first aid in case of drowning.

"Through this drill, I learned a lot of knowledge and knew how to deal with emergencies in the future," said Lin Jinbiao, a fisherman.
