On May 23, 2024, at the Olympic Water Park in Donggang District, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, the Shandong Kayak Team and the Shandong Rowing Team were training to prepare for the 2025 Guangdong Hong Kong Macao National Games.
With a total area of 9.2 million square meters, the Olympic Water Park is a comprehensive seaside park integrating tourism, water sports, leisure and mass fitness. The water area is the largest natural lagoon in the north of the Yangtze River. The park is mainly equipped with Sun Square, lagoon competition waterway, training waterway, whitewater whirlpool, wharf, ring road, boathouse, target tower and various outdoor sports venues, etc. It is an international standardized aquatic sports competition venue, and also a world-class tourist resort.
