On June 9, 2021, in the maintenance shed of Zhengzhou East EMU Depot of Zhengzhou EMU Depot, the machinists of the large part replacement group were replacing the wheel sets of a EMU train. They established a wheel set wear database, dynamically analyzed the wear status of nearly 5000 sets of wheel sets of trains equipped with multiple units in the tube, and timely replaced the wheel sets that are due for "service" to ensure the safety of multiple unit trains.

It is understood that every time a set of motor train wheel sets is replaced, 12 precision embedded parts need to be carefully disassembled and maintained, involving nearly 100 spare parts such as bolts, sensors, air ducts, etc., and 10 machinists need to work continuously for more than 5 hours. Near the Dragon Boat Festival, the railway department will add some peak lines and temporary EMU trains, and the machinists of the large parts replacement group will work overtime to replace the EMU train wheel sets, so as to ensure that the EMU trains can be put on line on time during the small and long holidays, and to serve passengers' travel during the "Dragon Boat Festival" small and long holidays.
