Qiaowang, March 9 Topic: Epidemic prevention and control, requirements for going to China... These reminders from embassies abroad should be known!

With the frequent occurrence of mutated coronavirus in many countries, the epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage, and the situation has become more complex and severe.

Influenced by the epidemic situation, the policy of epidemic prevention and control, flights to China and other policies have changed, and social security incidents such as robbery, fraud and discrimination crimes have also occurred from time to time.

Recently, many embassies and consulates in foreign countries have issued relevant reminders. Young overseas Chinese will comb for you. Please keep it!

Mutant virus does great harm

Prevention and control of epidemic situation should not be taken lightly

On March 1, the Chinese Embassy in Germany issued a notice reminding Chinese students studying in Germany to continue to prevent and control the epidemic. The notice said that recently, Chinese students studying in Germany and surrounding countries were infected due to transnational travel, visiting friends and student gatherings or quarantined due to contact with infected people, which brought difficulties to the study, work and life of relevant students studying abroad.

On the same day, the Embassy in Italy issued a notice calling on Chinese citizens concerned to be alert to the danger of mutated viruses. The notice said that the mutated virus is highly infectious and harmful, and we should be alert for a more serious third wave of epidemic.

On March 2, the Canadian Public Health Agency announced that all provinces in Canada had found cases of mutated COVID-19 infection, which spread rapidly, reminding the public to take stricter epidemic prevention measures.

Accordingly, several embassies and consulates abroad have issued relevant reminders, asking overseas Chinese to overcome paralysis, fluke mentality and laxity, and continue to do a good job in epidemic prevention and control.

1. Insist on tightening the strings of epidemic prevention and fighting, strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations of the local government and health department, wash hands and disinfect frequently, wear masks, and do a good job of personal protection.

2. In order to prevent the unknown risk of mutated virus, please take the initiative to widen the social safety distance, avoid participating in various gathering activities, try to reduce unnecessary travel, and avoid long-distance or cross-border travel.

3. If there are suspected symptoms or confirmed cases of infection, please report to the local medical institution in time for professional help. In case of emergency, you can call the embassy or consulate for help.

Not necessary, not urgent, not travel

People going to China need to pay attention to new changes in policies

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Chinese embassies and consulates abroad have always emphasized the principle of "unnecessary, non urgent and non travel" to avoid the risk of cross infection during travel. Due to the urgency of the epidemic situation, several embassies and consulates abroad have made new adjustments to the requirements of passengers on flights to China.

On March 3, the Embassy in Nigeria released a news that from March 6 (inclusive), the transit personnel from Nigeria to China via Egypt will not be able to check in in Cairo, and the Embassy will no longer issue health codes to transit personnel to China.

On March 2, the Embassy in South Africa issued a notice, reminding South African citizens and third country personnel in South Africa with valid Chinese work, private and reunion residence permits to suspend their travel to China. If you really need to go to China for emergency, humanitarian and other reasons, you must submit an application to the Chinese embassy or consulate in your consular area by phone or email. After being confirmed and approved, you can purchase air tickets and conduct nucleic acid and serum IgM antibody testing.

In the middle of February, the Embassy in Spain issued a notice requiring people going to China to upload the whole journey ticket (itinerary), residence certificate in Spain (including visa), the first journey green code (only for transit passengers to the west) and the "double detection" report when applying for the health green code.

In order to reduce cross infection in transit, the Consulate General in New York recently made a supplementary notice on matters related to "double detection", suggesting that people from the United States to China take direct flights. The Consulate General will no longer review and issue health codes for people coming to China from the United States via a third country.

In addition, embassies and consulates in Costa Rica, Pakistan, Myanmar and many other European countries have also successively issued relevant new regulations, putting forward new requirements for passengers taking flights to China.

At the same time, the embassies and consulates of many countries abroad also remind that the epidemic situation is still serious, and the personnel going to China must do a good job of self closed-loop management after completing the testing, and try to avoid unnecessary activities such as shopping, dining, sightseeing, and meeting friends; Strengthen personal protection during the journey to minimize the risk of infection.

Frequent discrimination, fraud, robbery and violence

It is very important to protect people and property

The epidemic has not yet subsided, and fraud incidents are emerging in endlessly. Recently, the embassies and consulates in Jeju, South Africa and other countries received reports from many overseas Chinese that some criminals were posing as embassy staff to obtain personal information and commit fraud.

In order to help overseas Chinese improve their recognition ability and avoid being deceived, the relevant embassies and consulates abroad once again solemnly remind:

The embassies and consulates abroad, the Chinese public security organs, the People's Procuratorate and the People's Court of China will not notify the parties involved in the case by telephone, nor will they require transfer and remittance by telephone. If you are cheated, you should report the case to the local police in a timely manner, and at the same time report to the domestic public security organ. You can also report the case through your close relatives in China in a timely manner, and ask the anti telecom network fraud center where you reported the case for help (just dial 110).

In the United States, discrimination and violent crimes against Asian Americans have occurred in many cities, which are of a very bad nature.

In response to this situation, the Embassy in the United States reminded Chinese citizens in the United States to strengthen security precautions. When encountering such situations, you must keep calm and respond properly, try to avoid verbal quarrels and physical conflicts, ensure your own safety, and call the police in time during or after the event. When necessary, safeguard legitimate rights and interests through legal channels.

At the same time, affected by the epidemic situation, the number of robbery and property infringement crimes has also increased. In mid February, a couple of overseas Chinese businessmen in South Africa were robbed by gunmen on their way home. Both the husband and wife were shot and robbed of their mobile phones, which caused widespread concern among local overseas Chinese and their own security.

The Embassy in South Africa actively coordinated in this regard, provided necessary help to the victims, contacted the local police to fully arrest the perpetrators, and issued safety warnings to the vast number of overseas Chinese businessmen.

It's about life safety. Xiaoqiao hopes that the friends of overseas Chinese must keep these reminders in mind and put them into action.
