WASHINGTON, May 22 (Reporter Li Zhiwei) On May 21, the Chinese Embassy in the United States, together with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province and the American Chinese Museum in Washington, D.C., held the 2024 "Tea and the World, Gathering" activity. More than 200 people attended the event, including more than 20 ambassadors to the United States and guests from all walks of life, such as American politics, business and culture, to experience Chinese tea culture closely and appreciate the unique charm of Hubei tourism.
At the scene, singers from Hubei sang national songs, demonstrating unique local ethnic arts and customs. The performance of Wudang Kung Fu shows the artistic conception of natural Taoism and the unity of heaven and man. At the same time, there are also booths for intangible cultural heritage projects on site to enrich the cultural experience of guests.
The Hubei delegation cooperated with local tea artists in the United States to demonstrate the production techniques of Enshi Yulu, Changshengchuan Green Brick Tea and Jingwei Fu Tea, as well as their representative tea products, tea utensils and tea making tools, and performed the tea art on the spot (see photo, taken by Li Zhiwei). Guests said that the event gave them a full appreciation of the affinity and cohesion of Chinese tea culture.
