China Weather News entered the century old meteorological station and witnessed the history of the observatory for more than 150 years. The Shanghai Meteorological Museum (the former site of the Xujiahui Observatory) has carried out continuous meteorological observation since 1872. The museum has an indoor exhibition area of about 3000 square meters, including the history of science and technology of the Xujiahui Observatory, achievements of the new China's meteorological cause, interactive experience of meteorological science and technology, display of historical meteorological data and instruments, and scientific lecture halls. There are meteorological observation science popularization stations outdoors, It is a science popularization venue integrating the history of Shanghai's meteorological development, display of meteorological collections, interaction of meteorological science popularization and patriotism education.
