A few days ago, the reporter learned from the Xiangjiadang Management Committee that since September 2017, the region has actively responded to the requirements of the provincial, municipal and district governments for waste classification. Under the guidance and help of the district classification leading group, it has increased publicity, strengthened responsibility, and actively organized and guided residents to carry out waste classification work.
The staff of the Waste Classification Office of Xiangjiadang Management Committee said that this year's waste classification work involved 12 communities, including Jiacheng Lvdu, Xiangnan Apartments and Xiangdu Apartments, which were distributed in 6 communities and involved 25521 residents.
According to the unified deployment and standards of the city, the trash cans at the corridor entrance will also be divided into three categories: recyclables (blue cans), hazardous garbage (red garbage bags), and other garbage (gray cans). In Xiangjiadang area, 2798 hazardous waste collection bags and 29571 household garbage cans are placed in each residential building unit, reminding residents to pay attention to the classified placement and collection of garbage in every detail of daily life, so as to facilitate the unified collection in the later period.
"We also started from the corridor entrance to collect and transfer the classified garbage through the garbage sorting kiosks on time." The head of Xiangjiadang Management Committee said that at present, the 22 garbage sorting kiosks in residential areas and the two garbage sorting kiosks in units have all started to be put in by classification.
It is reported that Xiangjiadang also enforced the classification of domestic garbage for 8 government agencies and institutions under its jurisdiction. Six of the eight units are in the same courtyard, and a total of two garbage sorting kiosks, one classified dropping point, three hazardous garbage dropping bins and 12 40L classified garbage bins are built. According to the standard, the domestic garbage of government institutions, state-owned enterprises and schools can be divided into four categories: recyclables, hazardous garbage, other garbage, and kitchen garbage (green buckets) (if there is no canteen, there is no kitchen garbage). In addition, 18 recyclable points exchange points have all been put into operation, and 156480kg of recyclable materials have been recovered by the end of June.
Promoting waste classification is a systematic project. Accelerating the establishment of a waste treatment system of classified release, classified collection, classified transportation and classified treatment requires the active cooperation of functional departments, all sectors of society and residents. In addition to taking more humanized supporting measures, we should also strengthen publicity to let residents know the significance of waste classification.
Xiangjiadang Management Committee planned ahead and established a regional leading group to promote the classification of urban and rural domestic waste, with special personnel responsible for waste classification. At the same time, a volunteer team consisting of 30 supervisors, 53 counsellors and hundreds of people was formed. As of June this year, Xiangjiadang has carried out more than 100 publicity trainings and 22138 publicity materials in households since the garbage classification work was carried out.
Waste classification, concept first. In order to vigorously carry out the garbage classification publicity work, Xiangjiadang carried out it in all aspects through multiple channels such as posting posters, volunteer services, teaching and training, home promotion, public service advertising, and distribution of publicity materials. For example, Jiacheng Lvdu Community makes classified publicity materials for garbage, which must be publicized every meeting. Classified publicity is carried out before the Party members' meeting, the owners' representative meeting, and the public opinion forum on the 16th of each month. Jiangnan Xinjiayuan Community played classified propaganda recordings with loudspeakers at the entrance and exit of the community and during security patrols, and carried out mobile propaganda from morning to night.
It is worth mentioning that in order to effectively maintain the results of resident classification and avoid mixed loading and collection. Xiangjiadang has also actively established and improved the blue recyclable trash can recycling management system, supervised the daily work of the operating recycling enterprises through the methods of on-site check-in and electronic track inspection, put an end to the mixed loading, mixed receiving and mixed transportation of garbage cleaning and recycling units, and managed the follow-up process of garbage classification.
Garbage classification takes a long time. In the next stage, Xiangjiadang will continue to do a good job in the creation of the demonstration community, and take the demonstration community as the template to promote the overall waste classification work.
