Recently, Nanhu District and Pinghu City carried out a joint law enforcement action to clean up the illegal fishing facilities set up at the ferry bridge port at the junction of the two places.
In the afternoon of the same day, under the leadership of three law enforcement ships, the clearing ships cleared the illegal fishing facilities on both sides of the old 07 Provincial Highway to the new 07 Provincial Highway section of the ferry port one by one. A total of more than 100 illegal fishing facilities were cleared, including 9 fixed fishing facilities.
Before this action, Xinfeng Town has carried out several patrols on this section of river channel, and found that the number of fishing facilities set up against regulations on both sides of the river channel increased significantly, and both Nanhu District and Pinghu City were involved, which affected the ecological system of the river channel of the ferry bridge port and the smooth flow of water bodies. After communication, the two places decided to carry out joint law enforcement action to solve this problem.
This is just one of the actions taken by Xinfeng Town to control the water this spring. Xinfeng Town is a typical water town in the south of the Yangtze River, and the quality of river water environment is directly related to the happiness of the masses. Therefore, in recent years, Xinfeng Town has made great efforts to improve the water environment through a series of actions such as "five water co governance" and the elimination of inferior water. This spring, Xinfeng Town launched a number of measures for river management.
As for water environment pollution, the most abhorrent thing for the masses is the illegal sewage discharge of some enterprises. On March 22, the public reported that Xinfeng Town's "Five Water Co governance" Office, together with the town's environmental protection squadron and Jinzhang Village staff, came to the ferry bridge port in Jinzhang Village to investigate and deal with the illegal act of a waste plastic granulation workshop that directly discharged waste water into the river during production.
According to the preliminary site survey by the staff, the workshop is currently closed and not directly discharged into the river, but there are many waste plastics stacked on the site, the production workshop is messy and poor, and there is no certificate for operation, so the workshop was handed over to the environmental protection squadron for treatment. After investigation, the Town Environmental Protection Squadron made a request to remove relevant production equipment, move out within a time limit and other related penalties, and made it clear that if similar problems still occur later, it will directly ban them with the relevant departments. The "Five Water Treatment" Office of the town requires the owner to immediately remove the water intake equipment and drainage channels, prevent sewage from entering the river during the removal process, and entrust Jinzhang Village with territorial management.
Since the beginning of March this year, the "Five Water Co governance" Office of Xinfeng Town has started to use motorboats to patrol the rivers in the region. After many patrols, 76 river cleaning problems have been found in each village, and they have been rectified one by one. For the river channels with problems found in the patrol of district, town, village and river leaders, a list of problem rivers has also been established, specifying the time when problems were found in the river channels, the type of problems, the rectification measures, the time of rectification in place, and the establishment of electronic files of photos before, during and after rectification, to ensure that every problem in each river channel is solved, and to ensure that the water environment in the town is actually improved.
