Recently, Broadcom launched a new network card - P1400GD. This network card supports a network transmission speed of up to 400 Gbps and is equipped with BCM57608 chip, which conforms to IEEE P802.3bs standard.
Broadcom said that this network card is one of the first products built with 5nm process technology in the industry, which aims to provide support for artificial intelligence/machine learning, cloud computing and high-performance computing. It adopts the sixth generation enhanced NIC architecture and the fourth generation RoCE congestion control system, and also supports hardware acceleration technologies such as TruFlow.
In terms of specifications, the P1400GD network card adopts a single slot space design and uses passive cooling. This product can work normally only when installed in PCIE 5.0 x 16 channels, and the maximum transmission rate of a single port can reach 400Gbps. In addition, the product is downward compatible with multiple rate levels such as 200/100/50/40/25G, and supports full duplex mode. It also supports 100G/50G PAM4 and 25G NRZ high-speed SerDes.
The following is the official product list of P1400GD:
