Sony's new PS6 may adopt ARM architecture

ARM processors have developed rapidly in the technology industry. Many companies such as Microsoft and Apple have chosen customized chips based on ARM architecture. It is also rumored that the next generation Xbox will also switch from x86 architecture to ARM architecture.

Recently, a user found a Sony job advertisement on the ResetEra forum. The position requires applicants to be familiar with "the mainstream CPU architecture in the near future". According to the description, "We will develop the system so that the programs we developed for the entertainment game console can run on game consoles of different architectures. Specifically, we will strive to make a large number of games that have been developed for the PlayStation platform run on the new architecture system."
